Clear Aligners in Victoria, BC

How clear-aligner treatment differs by case, provider and plan rather than simply by brand.

Brand and treatment are not the same thing

Different clear-aligner systems can manufacture trays, but the quality of care also depends on diagnosis, treatment design, monitoring and the provider’s response when teeth do not move as planned.

Ask how the case will be monitored

Some providers schedule regular in-office reviews while others use a mix of in-person and remote monitoring. The appropriate cadence depends on the case; patients should know in advance how progress problems are identified.

Attachments and other auxiliaries may still be needed

“Clear aligners” does not necessarily mean treatment consists only of smooth plastic trays. Tooth-coloured attachments, elastics or selective enamel reduction may be recommended to create particular movements.

Avoid choosing only from a promotional price

A lower advertised fee may represent a limited treatment package or a simpler case category. Compare the written scope, not just the headline number.

Questions to take to a consultation

  • What is the diagnosis and treatment objective?
  • Who will personally diagnose, plan and supervise treatment?
  • What reasonable alternatives exist?
  • What is included in the total fee, including refinements and retainers?
  • How often are in-person visits expected?
